| 内容記述 | The purpose of this paper is to foster better international understanding among students as geography education. For this purpose, I recommend using further the school atlases, which are the government approved textbooks. School textbooks are authorized by the MEXT, and they must be used in classrooms in Japan. This paper mentioned how to use the map of the world and the complete map of Japan in particular which are included in the school atlases. This paper has another key objective in addition. Japan is surrounded by the oceans and often described as a marine nation, or a nation oceanic. Hence it is necessary to establish a foundation for ocean, and maritime education. This agenda has been considered by various stakeholders. We must consider enough more about leaning contents at school and instructing the method of ocean, and maritime education. I would like to make suggestion using the school atlases, especially maps of the world and complete maps of Japan which are included in them. | |||||||||
