We reviewed the papers searched on CiNii and reviewed the following: “Educational consultation”, “Team school”, “Collaboration in special needs education”, “Role of school counselors and school social workers”, “Multi-professional collaboration”, “Facilitators and impediments to multi-professional collaboration”. The current situation and issues were clarified by analyzing themes such as “factors and competencies.” Based on the current situation and issues such as “difficulty in understanding the job description of SCs and SSW”, “school-specific culture and job structure”, and, “importance of the role of key personnel within the school” we will introduce the roles of SCs and SSWs in team schools. The viewpoints for promoting collaboration with SC and SSW are: ① Clarification of the duties of SC and SSW and understanding of the limits of their roles, ② Dissemination of the duties of SC and SSW within the school, ③ Improving the expertise of SC and SSW, and ④ Roles of SC and SSW. We have summarized this into six points: ⑤ sharing support goals as a team, and ⑥ the roles of key people within the school. He suggested exploring new roles for SCs and SSWs in special needs education and building a consultation system centered on key people within the school.
