vitro で胚の初期発生を再現\nする多能性幹細胞(PSCs)であり、ESCsであるナイーブ状態のPSCsからEpiLCsであるプライム状態の\nPSCs への遷移メカニズムの解明を可能するモデルとなる。はじめに、ESCs とEpiLCs の網羅的糖鎖プロ\nファイリングを行い、糖鎖構造が発生の初期段階から劇的な変化を遂げることを明らかにした。この変\n化は、クロマチンリモデラーであるpolycomb repressive complex 2 (PRC2)によって制御されており、\n全体の糖鎖構造を調節するネットワークの存在を見出した。さらに、ESCsにおける糖鎖の機能解析も行\nい、O-結合型でムチン型糖鎖の一種であるT 抗原(Galβ1-3GalNAc)とその構造を合成するC1galt1
