The aim of the “Waldkindergarten” is to improve the health of infants by making use of the natural environment, and to assist children acquire independence and the “IKIRU CHIKARA (Zest for Living) ” in cooperative relationships.  Another noteworthy aspect of the project is its ability to develop childcare while distinguishing between risks and hazards, and to improve children’s ability to recognize and prevent danger. It is also a field for learning the importance of life. It can also create valuable learning experiences that are directly linked to the goals of the SDGs.  On the other hand, the major issues of “ Waldkindergarten” are the securing of human resources capable of instructing nature experience education and the problem of operating funds. As for the training of childcare workers, it is desirable to add a nature experience program to the curriculum of the training school.
